How to become a customs officer?

Career: Customs Officer

To pursue a career as a customs officer, you need a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field, or at least one year of experience working in security. All candidates must show proof of U.S. citizenship, hold a valid driver’s license, and pass a drug and criminal background test. New customs officers complete a rigorous training program that teaches them how to identify contraband, interview passengers, and detain suspects.
