The qualifications to become a customs broker include U.S. citizenship, being at least 21 years of age, a passing score (75% or above) on the Customs Broker license exam, and an approved application by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The license exam is an 80-question, open-book exam on tariff schedules, federal regulations, applicable taxes, entry procedures, and admissibility requirements.
