How to become a cooking instructor?

The primary qualifications for this position are a high school diploma or equivalent skill and experience in cooking instruction. Most employers prefer two years of supervisory experience with cooking instruction or teaching. Fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of this position requires knowledge of cooking principles and excellent leadership skills. You may also need an understanding of first aid and CPR procedures, especially if you work with children. In some cooking instructor positions, you may need a valid driver's license, familiarity with various cuisines and cooking styles, or knowledge of advanced techniques. Experience as a professional cook is also beneficial.
