How to become a contract driver?

Career: Contract Driver

The qualifications that you need to work as a contract driver depend on the position. As a contract truck driver, you may need a Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) if your vehicle and load exceed 13 tons. In most states, couriers and delivery drivers who drive smaller cars do not need a commercial driver’s license. If you own your auto, you may need to have adequate insurance coverage. In addition to excellent driving skills, you need strong business, communication, and networking skills to obtain contracts.
