How to become a community representative?

The journey to becoming a Community Representative varies based on your industry as well as where you work. At a local government level, qualifications for becoming a Community Representative may range from having a high school diploma or GED to having a bachelor's degree. You may also need to have lived in a specific community for a set number of years to qualify to become a social service government Community Representative. The requirement for other industries is similar, but they may prefer you have some work experience in said industry. Beyond meeting these qualifications, successful Community Representatives need to have strong communication and public speaking skills, as they are tasked with representing a certain community and working with others to accomplish the goals of that community.
