How to become a chief pilot?
Career: Chief Pilot
Education, licensure, and training are the primary qualifications for a chief pilot. While it is not always required, most people in this field have a bachelor’s degree in aviation or a similar area. You can also gain the skills you need for this career by attending flight school or serving in the military. To obtain a commercial pilot’s license from the FAA, you must complete ground training and flight experience requirements. After getting your license, you can apply for entry-level positions to gain the experience you need to advance to a chief pilot role. Depending on the type of aircraft you operate, you may also need to complete multi-engine rating or airline transport pilot certification.
