How to become a CMM programmer?

Most positions require CMM programmers to have an associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree, typically in computer science or a related field. Many jobs also require training or certification in using the specific CMM programming product. You can also obtain a quality inspector certification from the American Society for Quality. A CMM programmer needs a good understanding of how to read design drawings, how to use inspection and measurements tools, and how manufacturing processes work. You should possess excellent problem solving and mathematical skills as well.
