To become a bus driver, you must be at least 18-years-old (or 21-years-old in some states) and have earned a high school diploma or equivalent (such as a GED certificate). You must also obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) by passing a knowledge and driving test and hold one of two endorsements: a passenger (P) or school bus (S) endorsement.
