How to become a bus aide?

The qualifications for a career as a bus aide are a high school diploma or GED certificate, passing a criminal background check, and certification in first aid and CPR. You do not need any prior experience with the transportation of students since your employer provides on-the-job training. However, you do need good communication skills, the ability to exercise authority with children and enforce rules and expectations, and the physical abilities necessary to help students in wheelchairs board and exit the bus and secure their chairs safely in designated handicapped seating areas.
