How to become a backhoe operator?

Career: Backhoe Operator

To become a backhoe operator, you need a high school diploma or GED certificate. Most backhoe operators receive on-the-job training, starting on a construction site as a laborer or truck driver, before learning how to operate backhoes and other heavy machinery. You may also choose to pursue certification, although some states require you to have a CDL (commercial driver’s license) to become certified.
