Tour guides must be able to talk to and assist people and of all ages and backgrounds. Proficiency in a second language is also a useful skill for tour guides. Some tour guides jobs required basic CPR and emergency first aid training. Since a tour guide is the primary point of contact for visitors at many tourist sites, you must be responsible and responsive in case of an emergency. You also have to keep an eye on the attractions and exhibits to ensure nothing is damaged.
