How do you become a speech pathologist?

Career: Speech Pathologist

There are few differences between a speech pathologist, audiologist, and speech therapist. An audiologist is someone who tests hearing to diagnose problems. They may serve as the first step to meeting a speech pathologist or therapist if the patient’s hearing has affected their speech. There isn’t much difference between a speech pathologist and a speech therapist一they both serve in the same role in patient care. The preferred titles they use have changed over the years; some prefer to keep speech therapist while others use speech-language pathologist.
