How do you become a PE electrical engineer?

A career as a PE electrical engineer requires you to have some formal qualifications and education, typically at least a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, which will grant you fundamental skills and knowledge. After obtaining your degree, you must pass the fundamentals in engineering (FE) exam to become an engineer-in-training (EIT). From here you need four years of professional experience before taking (and passing) the principles and practice in engineering exam, qualifying you as a professional engineer (PE).
