How to become a crime analyst?

The primary qualifications for a career as a crime analyst are a bachelor's degree in a field like criminal justice or statistics and some combination of additional training and experience as a crime analyst. Many crime analysts have experience as a police officer or working with a police agency. Fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of a crime analyst requires the ability to establish and maintain good relationships, an analytical mind, familiarity with police operations and training, and various statistical skills. You also need to be able to draw logical conclusions based on partial data.
