How can I become a vehicle test driver?

There are no formal education qualifications to become a vehicle test driver, but you must have a strong grasp of vehicle technology and systems. A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or vocational training as a mechanic can prepare you to inspect the systems of a pre-production or prototype vehicle thoroughly. You must also have a driver's license, excellent driving skills, and be comfortable driving at high speeds to push a car to its limit during a test drive. You must be able to follow instructions and provide clear feedback and informed opinions. Excellent reflexes are also beneficial.
