There are no universal qualifications to become a dryer operator. You may need a high school diploma or GED certificate, but you can do the majority of your training on the job. You can also acquire a Pasteurizer license. Many employers prefer that you have a forklift license as well. You must be familiar with production lines and equipment. As a dryer operator, you stand for long periods of time and frequently climb ladders and stairs, so you need the physical stamina and strength to do so.
