What is Hotmail.com?

Hotmail.com was one of the first web-based email services, launched in 1996. It allowed users to send, receive, and manage emails through an internet browser, making email access available from any device with internet connectivity. In 2013, Hotmail was rebranded and integrated into Microsoft's Outlook.com service, but many people still refer to their email addresses as Hotmail.com. Existing Hotmail accounts continue to work, but new sign-ups are now offered under the Outlook.com domain.
