What is a highest RN?

Highest RNs, or Highest Registered Nurses, typically refers to registered nurses who have achieved the highest levels of education, specialization, or salary within the nursing profession. These may include advanced practice nurses such as Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS), Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), and Nurse Midwives (CNMs). They often hold advanced degrees, such as a Master's or Doctorate in Nursing, and have specialized clinical training. As a result, they take on greater responsibilities, leadership roles, and often earn higher salaries compared to general registered nurses.
