What is a GI Endoscopy RN?

GI Endoscopy RNs are registered nurses who specialize in assisting with gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy procedures, such as colonoscopies and upper endoscopies. They prepare patients for procedures, monitor vital signs, provide sedation assistance, and ensure patient safety throughout the process. These nurses also educate patients about the procedure and post-procedure care, collaborate with physicians, and maintain sterile environments in endoscopy suites.
