What does a formwork carpenter apprentice do?

A Formwork Carpenter Apprentice assists in building and assembling temporary molds, called formwork, which hold concrete in place while it sets for construction projects like buildings, bridges, and roads. They work under the supervision of experienced carpenters, learning how to measure, cut, and assemble materials such as wood, metal, or plastic. Apprentices also help with dismantling formwork after the concrete has cured and maintain tools and workspaces. This role provides hands-on training and experience in construction safety, blueprint reading, and carpentry techniques.
