What does a firewall engineer do?

A firewall engineer designs, implements, and manages network security systems to monitor and control incoming and outgoing network traffic based on security policies. They configure and maintain firewalls, troubleshoot security issues, and ensure the protection of organizational data and systems, often using tools like intrusion detection systems and security information and event management (SIEM) platforms.
