What is a FIFO Plant Operator?

FIFO Plant Operators are workers who operate machinery and equipment at industrial plants, mines, or processing facilities and work under a 'Fly-In Fly-Out' (FIFO) roster. This means they travel to remote locations for a set period (such as two weeks on, one week off) and stay on-site while working, then return home during their off time. Their responsibilities often include monitoring plant processes, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
