What is an environmental tech?

Environmental Techs, or Environmental Technicians, are professionals who collect samples, perform tests, and monitor environmental conditions to help ensure compliance with environmental regulations. They often work in labs or in the field, analyzing air, water, and soil for pollutants or hazardous materials. Their work supports environmental scientists and engineers in efforts to protect the environment and public health. Environmental Techs may also assist in environmental cleanup projects and help maintain environmental monitoring equipment.
