What is an EIT (Engineer-in-Training)?

Career: Eit Engineering

EIT Engineers, or Engineers-in-Training, are individuals who have completed the educational requirements for an engineering degree and have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. They are typically at the beginning of their engineering careers and work under the supervision of licensed Professional Engineers (PEs). The EIT designation is a step towards full professional licensure, allowing individuals to gain the required work experience before taking the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam. EIT Engineers are involved in a variety of engineering tasks, including project design, analysis, and problem-solving, while they work towards becoming licensed engineers.
