ECSE stands for Early Childhood Special Educator. ECSEs are professionals who work with young children, typically ages birth to five, who have developmental delays or disabilities. They assess children's needs, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborate with families and other specialists to support children's growth in cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains. Their goal is to help children reach their full potential and prepare them for future educational success.
