Will AI replace a data analyst?

AI can automate routine data processing and basic analysis tasks, but a Data Analyst in neuroscience or other fields is essential for interpreting complex data, designing experiments, and providing insights that require domain expertise. Human analysts also handle data quality, contextual understanding, and communication with stakeholders, which AI currently cannot fully replicate. Therefore, AI is a tool that complements rather than replaces data analysts.
