What is a CVPCU RN?

CVPCU RNs are Registered Nurses who work in the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU). These nurses specialize in caring for patients with heart and vascular conditions who require close monitoring but do not need intensive care. Their responsibilities include administering medication, monitoring vital signs, assisting with cardiac procedures, educating patients and families, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. CVPCU RNs must possess strong critical thinking skills and in-depth knowledge of cardiovascular care.
