What is choreography?

Choreography is the art and practice of designing sequences of movements in which motion, form, or both are specified. It is most commonly associated with dance, but can also refer to the arrangement of movements in theater, ice skating, synchronized swimming, and other performing arts. Choreographers create and organize dance routines, often working closely with dancers and directors to bring artistic visions to life. Their work involves creativity, technical knowledge, and an understanding of music and physical movement.
