What is a checkout operator?

Checkout Operators, also known as cashiers, are responsible for processing customer purchases at the point of sale in retail stores, supermarkets, and other businesses. They scan items, handle payments, issue receipts, and sometimes help with bagging goods. Checkout Operators also provide customer service, answer questions, and may handle returns or exchanges. Accuracy, attention to detail, and good communication skills are important in this role.
