CENTCOM, short for United States Central Command, is one of the eleven unified combatant commands of the U.S. Department of Defense. It is responsible for U.S. military operations and security cooperation in the Middle East, Central Asia, and parts of South Asia, including countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Saudi Arabia. CENTCOM coordinates efforts related to regional security, military strategy, and humanitarian missions within its area of responsibility. Its headquarters is located at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.
