What is a CCT RN?

A CCT RN, or Critical Care Transport Registered Nurse, is a specialized nurse who provides advanced medical care to critically ill or injured patients during transport between healthcare facilities or from emergency scenes. They are trained to handle complex medical equipment and provide life-saving interventions in ambulances, helicopters, or fixed-wing aircraft. CCT RNs work as part of a multidisciplinary transport team and must be able to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
