CCENT stands for Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician. It was an entry-level certification offered by Cisco that validated basic networking skills and knowledge for support roles and beginner network technicians. Note that as of February 2020, Cisco has retired the CCENT certification and replaced it with the newer Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
