What is a cast member?

Cast Members are employees who work at Disney theme parks, resorts, and related entertainment venues. Cast Members can work in a variety of roles, including attractions, food and beverage, merchandise, entertainment, and guest relations. They are called 'Cast Members' because they are part of the 'show' that creates the magical atmosphere Disney is known for.
