What does a cable lineman do?

A cable lineman installs, maintains, and repairs overhead and underground electrical and communication cables on utility poles and in underground conduits. They work outdoors in various weather conditions, often using climbing gear, hand tools, and safety equipment. Certification and knowledge of electrical systems are important for this role.
