What does an auto damage adjuster trainee do?

An Auto Damage Adjuster Trainee learns how to inspect vehicles that have been involved in accidents to estimate repair costs and determine the extent of the damage. They work under the supervision of experienced adjusters to gain hands-on experience with assessing damage, preparing reports, and working with repair shops and customers. Trainees are also taught how to interpret insurance policies and help settle claims. This role is often the first step toward becoming a fully licensed auto damage adjuster.
