What is AP English Language?

AP English Language, formally known as AP English Language and Composition, is a college-level course and examination offered by the College Board to high school students. The course focuses on developing students' abilities to analyze and interpret a variety of texts, as well as to craft well-argued and evidence-based essays. Students learn to read critically, understand rhetorical strategies, and write effectively in different styles and contexts.
