Job Overview

Territory:  West Virginia, Pikeville KY & Portsmouth, OH

The Walmart Operations Manager establishes and maintains management and communication routines with field sales to achieve full execution of sold programming as well as the successful deployment and maintenance of our new Walmart One Best Way process and associated tools. Finally, the Walmart Operations Manager also serves as the conduit to help provide operational feedback from the frontlines on the viability of and executional opportunities with our Walmart strategies. Walmart Operations Managers’ scope of responsibility is to routines and teammates within 1-2 RSAs and 60-100 Walmart outlets.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Shoulder-to-shoulder Walmart sales and process coaching with ADs and DSMs. Coaching topics are specific to best-in-class sales/relationships at Walmart, execution of our Walmart commercial plan and sold objectives, data-based business reviews with Walmart store leadership, execution of the One Best Way process at Walmart and training on associated tools. Target: 20 stores/week
  • Establishes and manages weekly RSA communication routines to improve Walmart engagement and execution with Fields Sales Teams. Also responsible for routine cadences with Walmart Market Managers to review customer service levels and other operational opportunities that drive improved execution. 
  • Review execution-based reporting and drive improvement across key Walmart & CCCI KPIs. Use Walmart and Consolidated data to identify where largest execution gaps exist in RSA and use that information to guide coaching actions.
  • KPIs: Consolidated financial targets, execution of commercial initiatives/LOS Big Bets, void closures, preload/prebook acceptance, store refusals, Walmart replenishable instocks, Walmart First Pick Rate Accuracy
  • Collaborates with Walmart Directors to improve processes, tools, and execution at Walmart within assigned RSA.
  • Helps conduct cross-functional market tours with key constituents, including internal leaders and external business partners, to review customer service levels, identify selling opportunities, and strategize to drive continuous improvement in Walmart
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Min 3-5 years working in the CPG Industry
  • Sales experience calling on retailers
  • Attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Responsive customer service skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience with MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, influential leadership, cross-functional relationship building
  • Travel approximately 70% of the time 
     
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge acquired through 3 to 5 years work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Sales
