- Insurance Experience
- Architect or Lead
- Guidewire or Earnix or insurance Transformations
- AWS architect possibly
- Lead/Code Design reviews
- Required skills: Extensive knowledge in Personal lines Policy Mgmt, experience with Modern Cloud solutions built on AWS services. Strong technology strategy experience, architecture experience, modern cloud design include application, data, infrastructure, zero trust security designs, operational resiliency
- Ideally the candidate will have recent experience with CRM- Salesforce and Guidewire Cloud for Polic, and prior exposure to processes/culture at USAA
- What are the specific work tasks that these employees will be expected to perform? Design, develop, code, and test significant cross functional technical solutions, often collaborating with engineers or architects outside of team/department.
- Drive innovative technology strategy within the domain aligning with Chief Technology Office - Architecture
- Work with business, cto and Client staff engineers to author Master Plans (Biz strategy), Blueprints (Tech strategy), HLD and LLD
- Lead code/design reviews to ensure the delivered solution aligns to architectural direction
- Identifies and addresses production issue trends and establishes and shares troubleshooting methodologies.
- Assist in building Permit Processes (Permit to Design, Permit to Build, Permit to Operate)
- Mentor and coach experienced engineers to best practices on our Cloud stack
- Work with architecture to define directions for key technologies that impact the enterprise or a differentiating capability within a domain.
- Use innovative problem solving and critical thinking approaches to proactively solve a broad range of problems across technologies.
- Leverages Site Reliability Engineering practices in their domain.
- Experience briefing and advising executive leadership on technology initiatives.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled
