    Job description

    CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY

    Chicagoland Speedway is a 1.5-mile oval located in Joliet, Ill., approximately 30 miles south of downtown Chicago on Old Historic Route 66. On July 3-5, 2026, NASCAR will make its much-anticipated return to Chicagoland Speedway for three days of racing action.

    Summary

    Assist in maintaining the safety, security, and orderly operations of Chicagoland Speedway while providing exceptional customer service. This position provides a visible security presence to guests, employees, and assists with questions regarding directions, information about the facility, and disabled assistance.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

    • Maintain posts and screen guests for proper tickets and credentials throughout the facility on race weekends.
    • Control access to different areas on-site with proper credentials using verbal communication and physical presence.
    • Ensure safety is maintained by advising rules, policies of the facility, and enforcement of such when necessary.
    • Provide outstanding customer service by providing information, giving directions, and answering questions.
    • Assist competitors, owners, race officials, and customers by managing parking areas.
    • Maintain the physical security of customers, competitors, equipment and other assigned areas by patrolling on foot and in Chicagoland Speedway vehicles.
    • Roam the grounds on foot and in golf carts assisting guests, relieving co-workers for breaks, and responding to calls for assistance.
    • Searching and screening ticketed guests entering restricted areas for prohibited items and providing safe orderly crowd control.
    • Inspect camping structures upon entry for prohibited items.
    • Securing of doors and gates at designated times.
    • Patrolling of the property for unwanted, unsafe, and / or suspicious behavior.
    • Assist setting up perimeter fencing and barricades.

    Education and/or Experience

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    • Some positions may require a valid driver's license and to pass a motor vehicle license inspection report.

    Other Qualifications

    • Must be at least (18) eighteen years of age.
    • Previous security is preferred but not required.
    • Must be professional in appearance, have good communication skills, and be willing to work in an outdoor environment.
    • Ability to work nights and weekends.
    • Reliable transportation to and from track location.
    • Basic computer skills and abilities such as corresponding in emails and communicating documentation of time clock with specific software programs approved by employer

    The compensation range for this position is:

    $15.00 - $18.00 /hour
