Job description

KANSAS SPEEDWAY

Kansas Speedway, which opened in 2001, is located in the heart of the Midwest in Kansas City, Kansas. With easy access to major highways, along with the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway, restaurants, shopping and other entertainment, Kansas Speedway has easily become a destination for fans. The track hosts two NASCAR Cup Series races, the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the NASCAR Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series and the ARCA Menards Series. In addition to two race weekends, Kansas Speedway hosts over 200 event days each year.

Kansas Speedway seeks motivated individuals to join our Maintenance team. This is a seasonal position to assist the team in preparing the facility and grounds for events and to maintain and improve the overall condition of the buildings and grounds.

General Maintenance

Essential duties and responsibilities include -

  • General building and grounds maintenance and upkeep. Such as cleaning, power washing, garbage removal in buildings and common areas, mowing, weed whipping, tree trimming, landscaping, painting, and event setup.
  • Operate hand and power tools, tractors, carts, heavy equipment, and vehicles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Janitorial

Essential duties and responsibilities include-

  • Cleaning and trash removal of office buildings, houses, suite buildings, etc.
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and stocking restrooms.
  • Operate hand and power tools, carts and vehicles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Signs/Hospitality

Essential duties and responsibilities include-

  • Sign maintenance and installation, vinyl application and installation of large banners.
  • Painting ground graphics and walls and buildings.
  • Setup and installation of tents, tables, chairs. and other equipment for events.
  • Operate forklifts and boom lifts is preferred.
  • Operate hand and power tools, tractors, carts, heavy equipment, and vehicles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to work overtime including some evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather elements.
  • Frequently lifting and carrying objects/material up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the track location.
