Job Summary:
Come join R&D Lab in Super Micro Computer. We strive to ensure the product quality and reliability meet the Super Micro 4.0 Standards! We are looking for a System Validation Engineer who is full of passion and is always willing to improve. You will be the subject matter expert and manage system environmental and reliability validations during the server, switch and data center building block solution product development cycles. Following/developing the disciplined problem-solving process with AI-based validation process flow, you will be responsible for managing, processing and analyzing data from the fields or lab environment, for helping to develop & conduct AI-assisted failure analysis and track the improvement progress.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manages standard system environmental and reliability validations with AI approaches during the product development cycles. These may include, but be not limited to, ensuring validation BOM check and preliminary thermal and power requirements, baseline form, fit and functional check, setting up and conducting the validations, reporting and tracking issues during the validation process, and documenting test report and lessons learned.
  • May need to review, revise and create AI-based validation processes and test plans according to different system requirements and risk factors for validation items. These may include, but be not limited to, power system four corner test, thermal and humidity cycling tests, power cycling tests, shock and vibration tests, HALT and altitude tests, and reliability demonstration tests.
  • Follows the 8D problem solving process. Collects and examines data from the fields or lab databases, helps to develop/conduct AI-assisted root cause failure analyses and to implement corrective actions and track progress, and documents the lessons learned.
  • Works with internal and external cross-functional teams to improve product quality and reliability using state-of-the-art AI implementations.
  • Manages validation or field evidence, such as system messages and log files, performs AI and Excel statistical data analyses and maintains field and lab database.
  • Drafts ISO documents such as Work Instruction Procedures (WIP) and Standard Operating procedures (SOP), quality checks, checklist and business process documentation of the Lab using AI tools.
  • Continuously monitors and streamlines the working process.
  • Performs other work as assigned, such as help set up and maintain lab equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering/ electrical engineering disciplines required with strong software capability. Master preferred.
  • Familiar with Linux-based operating system environment.
  • At least 2 years of generative/agentic AI implementation experience, using AI models such as Grok, Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude and/or Cursor.
  • At least 2 years of computer system and component hardware testing experience. Experience in server systems, personal computers, IOT and embedded systems preferred.
  • At least 2 years of data analysis experience using related AI/Excel Analysis ToolPak. Experience in Pivot Tables/Charts a plus.
  • Experience leading initiatives in cross functional environment.
  • Knowledge of industry quality and reliability standards/requirements (e.g. NEBS GR-63-CORE, IEC 60068 Part 2 and MIL-STD-810) is a plus.
  • Must have good working spirit and attitude with team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary Range
$100,000 - $113,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
