Position Summary

The Grocery / Stock Associate is responsible for stocking shelves, maintaining product displays, and ensuring the grocery department is clean, organized, and fully replenished. This entry-level position supports daily store operations by assisting with receiving, stocking, inventory control, and customer service.
The Grocery / Stock Associate plays an important role in maintaining product availability, freshness, and presentation to provide customers with a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

Stocking & Inventory Support

  • Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with grocery products in a timely and organized manner.
  • Follow proper product rotation procedures (FIFO) to ensure freshness and minimize spoilage.
  • Check expiration dates and remove outdated or damaged products.
  • Assist with unloading deliveries and organizing backstock.
  • Maintain accurate shelf labeling and pricing.
  • Support inventory counts and cycle counts as assigned.

Store Organization & Cleanliness

  • Keep aisles clean, faced, and properly merchandised.
  • Break down boxes and maintain an organized stockroom.
  • Assist with light cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and tidying displays.
  • Cleaning, organizing, and restocking bathrooms

  • Ensure safety standards are followed in storage and stocking areas.

Customer Service

  • Greet and assist customers in locating products.
  • Answer basic product questions and refer complex inquiries to management.
  • Maintain a friendly, professional, and helpful attitude at all times.

Team Support

  • Work collaboratively with the Grocery Manager and other team members.
  • Assist other departments when needed during slower business periods.
  • Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and operational procedures.
  • Cross-train and support other departments as needed
