Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform Cloud Platform Engineer with strong experience in Google Cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and Python automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure and platform services on Google Cloud Platform.

Required Skills

8+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering/DevOps.

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

Experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for container orchestration.

Strong knowledge of Google Compute Engine (GCE).

Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).

Strong understanding of networking concepts, VPCs, Load Balancers, Firewalls, DNS, and IAM.

Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Familiarity with Linux administration and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.

Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters using GKE.

Configure and manage Compute Engine instances and cloud networking components.

Develop Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and operational tasks.

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.

Monitor cloud resources and optimize performance, security, and cost.

Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application deployment issues.

Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, and compliance controls.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to support cloud-native applications.

Participate in production support and incident management activities.

Preferred Qualifications

Google Cloud Certifications (Professional Cloud Engineer, Associate Cloud Engineer).

Experience with Anthos, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, or Cloud Functions.

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
