- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience from Seating Tier-1 company or automotive OEM
- Hands experience in automotive seat system and seat components e.g. Foam, trim, Plastic
- Experience from OEM, Adient , Lear, and Magna
- Ability to design Seat structure including cushion frame, backframe and mechanisms
- Working knowledge of regulatory and certification requirements for seating system
- Maintain and develop Design Validation Plans (DVP), and Design Failure Mode Analysis (DFMEA)
- Good knowledge of seating system manufacturing processes e.g. Stamping, Foaming, Welding,
- Create seating layouts, BOM and manage product issues during development
- Focus on design improvement approaches including cost reduction and design optimization
- Interpret CAE simulation results and integrate recommendations into product design
- Collaborate with seat part suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events
- Experience in creating 3D designs and 2D drawings (e.g. CATIA V6 only)
