The Opportunity

Our location in Columbus, OH currently has an opportunity for Brand Manager, Glucerna in our Nutrition Division. Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Millions of people around the world count on our leading brands - including Similac, PediaSure, Pedialyte, Ensure, and Glucerna - to help them get the nutrients they need to live their healthiest lives.

The Brand Manager, Glucerna will lead and direct all marketing activities for Glucerna Nutritional Drinks with primary responsibility for its retail delivery. Responsible for Glucerna's short and long-term retail distribution, trade promotion and display strategy and execution, and S&OP process. This includes general business management, influencing sales negotiations and leading commercialization of innovations to achieve financial commitments and marketing objectives. Closely partners with retail sales, shopper, category, finance, supply and analytics teams.

What You'll Work On

  • Track and understand financial, consumption, pricing, program/promotion, budget and supply performance and drivers; Demonstrate ability to adjust plans based on market dynamics and agile business management to meet quarterly and annual goals.

  • Define the Glucerna consumer display and trade promotional strategy and operating plan with focus on down funnel tactics such as media, search, and promotions.

  • Serve as primary commercial lead on S&OP process and stages, aligning supply to demand expectations, driving strategic business decisions to deliver plan and proactively elevating risks, gaps, and opportunities.

  • Commercial lead for typical PIER projects as primary point of contact with PPMO to ensure project success through alignment with retail priorities, strategic integration, and best in class retail execution.

  • Drive salesforce effectiveness through integrated planning, national sales mtgs and operational excellence

  • Build continuous learning plans for consumer, shopper, competitive, category and industry insights to create winning strategies that positively impact brand growth.

  • Lead broader retail brand team on trade promotions work assignments and tasks, provide direction and manage timeline milestones to achieve KPIs and desired objectives.

  • Lead and continuously develop an effective working relationship with the extendedbrand and sales community, operations and key stakeholders

  • Travel: 20%

Required Qualifications

  • 5- 8 years' experience in either Pharma/Healthcare or Consumer Packaged Goods brand management.

  • Education Requirements: BA/BS Degree in marketing, business or business analytics. MBA preferred.

  • Preferred 2 or more years managing a brand management team

  • Must possess the ability to apply basic marketing concepts (e.g., brand positioning, brand architecture, SWOT Analysis, competitive assessment, marketing objectives/strategies, consumer segmentation) used in the development of marketing plans.

  • Strong analytical acumen and in-depth knowledge of P&L interdependencies to identify and evaluate key business issues and drivers.

  • Knowledge of syndicated sources (e.g., AC Nielsen, IRI, CCT+, Home Scan)

  • Demonstrated effective leadership competencies.

  • Demonstrated success in project management.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute complex strategic business plans.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives.
