This position works out of our Temecula, CA location in the Abbott Vascular Division. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of vascular disease.

Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. Our extensive portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, bare metal stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices and peripheral stents.

What you'll do:

• ProvideProcess/QualityEngineeringsupporttomanufacturing,helpingtoensuredeliveryofhighestquality producttothecustomer.

• ProvideProcess/Quality Engineeringsupporttoproductdevelopmentteams,helping toensuredevelopmentofhighestqualitynewproducts.

• ResponsibleforcompliancewithapplicableCorporateandDivisionalPoliciesandprocedures.

• LearnstoidentifyManufacturingprocessdefects(scrap,nonconformingmaterial,customercomplaints)by dispositioningnon-conformingmaterial,assistinginidentificationofprimaryrootcausesandunderstanding correctiveandpreventativeactions.Mayberesponsibleforworkingwithprocessownertoboundproduct stopsanddocumentreleasecriteria.

• Gainsunderstandingofproductqualityplans,documentsandsystems byreviewingproductspecifications,qualityspecifications,andworkingwithqualitysystems.Maybe responsibleforlearningriskanalysesandFMEAs.

• LearnsProcessMonitoringSystemsbybecoming familiarwithsystemsapplicationsandcriticalprocesssteps;andthroughfamiliarizationwithmethodsusedto reduceprocessvariation.

• BecomesfamiliarwithProduct/Processimprovementeffortsbyunderstanding currentqualitymetricdataandlearningthevariousanalysismethodsusedtoenhancesustainingproduct designandnewproductdevelopment.

• LearnsQualityTools&TrainingMaterialsbygainingknowledgeof prevalenttoolsusedandbyreviewing&utilizingavailabletrainingmaterials.

• Workiscloselysupervised.Followsspecific,detailedinstructions. Beginsdevelopinganetworkofinternalresourcestofacilitatecompletionoftasks. Individualinfluenceistypicallyexertedatthepeerlevel.

• Completesdailyworkto meetestablishedschedulewithguidancefromsupervisoronprioritizationoftasks.

• Mayexerciseauthoritywithinpre-establishedlimitsandapproval.Failuretoachieveresults cannormallybeovercomewithoutseriouseffectonschedulesandprograms.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Required Experience

• Bachelors degreein a related field.

• 2+yearsofrelatedworkexperiencewithabasicunderstandingofspecifiedfunctional area,oranequivalentcombination ofeducationandworkexperience.

• Basictechnicalknowledgeofconcepts,practicesandprocedures. Limitedunderstandingofbusinessunit/groupfunction.Willperformthisjobinaqualitysystemenvironment. Failuretoadequatelyperformtaskscanresultinnoncompliancewithgovernmentalregulations.

• Learnstouseprofessionalconceptsandcompanypoliciesandprocedurestosolveroutineproblems. Worksonproblemsoflimitedscope.Minimalindependentdecisionmaking.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Manufacturing, Plastics or Extrusion.

The base pay for this position is

$61,300.00 - $122,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
