What You'll Do

BCG is growing! We are looking for experienced consultants to join our Health Care team at the Project Leader or Principal level.Qualified individuals will play a critical role in enriching project work and bringing forward-thinking solutions to our Health Care Services clients - primarily health systems and health insurance companies. Ideal candidates will have previous management consulting experience and demonstrated leadership in growing client relations, people and knowledge development. In this role, you will lead high-impact transformation programs, partnering with OneBCG teams - spanning traditional consulting, digital, AI, and technology talent - as well as senior client stakeholders. This is an outstanding opportunity to sharpen your problem-solving toolkit while gaining exposure to a broad range of industry challenges and opportunities.

Health Care consultants' partner with Health Care Services clients to define winning strategies, shape their value proposition, enhance their operational effectiveness, and create sustained advantage.
Project Leaders play a key role on client engagements, managing studies to define client needs and supervising research activities to obtain relevant data. Project Leaders oversee the formulation of hypotheses for research and investigation, and the advanced financial analysis of client, competitor, and industry data. They apply knowledge of business principles and industrial organization, develop actionable recommendations, and supervise work including strategic due diligence, product development studies, change management plans, and the evaluation of long-term investment opportunities. Project Leaders are also responsible for managing client contact and play a key role in the development and maintenance of high-level client relationships.
As the senior person most frequently at the client site, Principals interact with the client lead on a day-to-day basis to ensure that expectations are aligned. Principals provide the project management oversight required to meet client expectations. Responsibilities may include the development of presentations, managing of external relationships and consultant work progress, providing status reports, and overseeing budgets.

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated consulting and industry experience within the Health Care Services sector; Health insurance, health system, or PBM / enabling service experience preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of post-graduate consulting experience, including at least 1 year leading consulting teams on Health Care Services-focused engagements.
  • Track record of collaboration with senior executives. Must be comfortable delivering formal presentations to management.
  • Strong management and communication skills. The ability to bring together all stakeholders and persuade senior clients to take action is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and a high capacity for conceptual thinking. Ability to develop leading edge business models, frameworks for analysis, and long-term business strategies that maximize shareholder value. Must be able to thrive in a hypothesis-based environment where inductive rather than deductive reasoning is the norm.
  • Proven ability to manage client engagements, client relationships, and provide "thought leadership" to teams, owning the responsibility for the quality of engagements.
  • A combination of management and "hands on" delivery experience is critical.
  • A solid track record of building strong client relationships with large organizations, as well as identifying opportunities to deepen those relationships and grow the business.
  • Technical degree is nice to have but not required.
  • A degree from a top-tier institution preferred.

For U.S. Applicants:

The base compensation for the Project Leader role is $225,400 in USD.

The base compensation for the Principal role is $252,900 in USD.

In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus and BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution. BCG also provides a market leading benefits package described below.
