Job description

SUMMARY:

We're seeking a Senior Operations Manager with in-depth knowledge and expertise in cold chain delivery, particularly with cryogenics at temperatures as low as -150 C.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and leading a new team while growing the division. They will work independently and efficiently within the industry to deliver exceptional results, leveraging their expertise in handling and transporting specimens at extremely low temperatures. The Senior Operations Manager will also have a passion for mentoring and training team members to achieve their best potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and lead a new team while growing the division
  • Work independently and efficiently within the industry to deliver exceptional results
  • Handle and transport specimens at extremely low temperatures, typically at -150 C
  • Handle and transport cell and gene shipments, which may require specific conditions such as temperature, humidity, and light exposure
  • Handle and transport shipments that require sub-zero temperatures
  • Handle and transport medical supplies, samples, and equipment related to clinical studies, which may require adherence to strict regulatory guidelines
  • Execute ground and ground-to-air deliveries, which may involve the use of specialized vehicles and equipment
  • Train team members to achieve their best potential

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Held a senior operations role at companies within the same industry
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in cold chain delivery, particularly with cryogenics at temperatures as low as -150 C
  • Experience in building and leading teams
  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, strong character, and effective leadership skills
  • Experience in business development and sales is an added advantage

TRAINING:

  • The selected candidate will receive training at the company's headquarters just outside of San Francisco, California, for a few weeks to familiarize themselves with the company's operations and procedures.

COMPENSATION:

  • $110,000 - $130,000 Depending on Experience
