Job description

We are hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the strategy and execution of our Agent Studio platform for enterprise customers. Agent Studio enables customers to design and deploy custom AI agents using our company's actions and tools, with a secure, governed, and highly reliable runtime environment.
This role combines strong people leadership, platform engineering depth, and enterprise product execution. You will lead multiple teams/tech leads, drive cross-org alignment, and ensure Agent Studio meets enterprise expectations for security, compliance, scalability, and operational excellence.
This position reports into the Sr Director of Procore AI Engineering team and is a 2 days per week hybrid role in our Austin office. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.
What you'll do:
  • Own end-to-end engineering delivery for Agent Studio's enterprise roadmap.
  • Agent authoring, evaluation, and lifecycle management
  • Secure runtime orchestration and execution at scale
  • Governance controls (RBAC, policy enforcement, audit trails, approvals)
  • Partner with Product, Security, Compliance, Legal, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success to deliver enterprise-ready capabilities.
  • Establish multi-quarter plans with clear milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation.
  • Define and enforce engineering operating standards: architecture reviews, SLOs, incident management, release management, and change control.
  • Represent engineering in executive reviews and customer engagements.

What we're looking for:
  • 10+ years in software engineering, with 4+ years in engineering management and experience managing managers or multiple teams.
  • Experience with agentic AI/LLM platforms, orchestration frameworks, or tool-execution systems.
  • Proven record delivering enterprise-grade platform products in cloud/SaaS environments.
  • Strong experience in distributed systems, developer platforms, APIs, and production operations.
  • Demonstrated ownership of security, reliability, and compliance requirements in production systems.
  • Experience leading cross-functional execution across product, security compliance, and go-to-market stakeholders.
  • Experience with enterprise controls such as SSO/SAML, SCIM, tenant isolation, customer-managed keys, data residency, and auditability.
  • Build robust operational posture: observability, on-call maturity, incident response, and postmortem discipline.

Base Pay Range:
