WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
This role operates within Nike's Manufacturing Engineering team, working cross-functionally with Product Engineering, Quality Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, and senior leadership. The position partners closely with global teams and manufacturing partners, while leading and developing engineers to strengthen capability across Nike's APAC partner network.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Nike is seeking a manufacturing engineering leader who delivers impact through clarity, partnership, and technical depth. This individual demonstrates strong expertise in lean manufacturing, quality systems, industrial engineering, and apparel manufacturing, with the ability to translate strategy into scalable execution.
The candidate builds trust across teams, influences partners, and continuously raises the bar for manufacturing excellence. They balance detail orientation with systems thinking-solving complex problems, optimizing processes, and building sustainable capabilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as this role connects multiple functions and geographies to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing systems engineering, quality engineering, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and inspire engineering talent
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Proficiency in process engineering, capacity planning, and GSD (General Sewing Data)

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You will lead the development and deployment of manufacturing systems and engineering capabilities that ensure Nike products are produced with quality, consistency, and efficiency from the start. You will help scale best-in-class manufacturing practices across a global network of partners.
  • Lead the implementation of Lean, Quality, Industrial Engineering, and Garment Engineering practices across manufacturing partners to drive measurable improvements
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Advanced Manufacturing teams to align on priorities and execution
  • Drive standardization of manufacturing processes in collaboration with Product Risk Engineering and Product Integrity teams
  • Strengthen manufacturing readiness by integrating tools, systems, and best practices to reduce production risk and variability
  • Elevate factory capabilities by advancing engineering excellence, quality systems, and production processes
  • Support issue management through structured problem solving, root cause analysis, and resolution of product quality challenges
  • Guide inspections, audits, and product verification processes to inform decisions and uphold quality standards
